Optimized Spraying Results
The Robosurf CAS - Controlled Application Systems enables optimal results for sprayable material like sprayfiller and spray-painting on surfaces.
CAS - Controlled Application System
The common fairing process is prone to mistakes - Incorrect mixing procedures, air entrapment during filler-application, material waste through multiple filler-application and sanding cycles and it consumes high volumes of product in general.”

The process of fairing a vessel has always been a product-oriented procedure, with little by way of evolution to the process itself.
The common fairing process:
Is prone to mistakes - Incorrect mixing procedures, air entrapment during filler-application, material waste through multiple filler-application and sanding cycles and it consumes high volumes of product in general.
As the traditional filler-application process is carried out manually and is widely considered to be labour intensive and dangerous.
Last week, the application of sprayfiller has been tested in combination with Robosurf’s “CAS - Controlled Application System” and a Robosurf Wizard, an autonomous mobile robot for surface finishing and spray-applications.
Via its own no-code operation interface the most important parameters to apply required thickness can be controlled.
The sprayfiller-application is avoiding air entrapment and the inclusion of bubbles. Overall, significant time savings can be achieved vs. conventional filler-application.
Being part of testing procedures and presentations offered to shipyards in Italy is an amazing opportunity to learn and grow with industry leaders from the superyacht industry to further optimize a traditional process that is used for almost 100 years.
Advanced sprayfiller technology in combination with controlled-application via autonomous mobile robots is available for live presentation at Robosurf.
