The ROBOSURF App Eco system is focusing on surface finishing and spray applications. It currently includes App Kits for Welding, Grinding with Force sensor and Vacuum, Laser Cleaning, Milling with Vacuum, Filler Application, Polishing, Sandblasting, Fiberglass, and Paint application with a variety of systems to prevent Overspray (OSC). The system is constantly evolving and can be tailor-made for your specific requirements.
Even the development of new Apps based on your individual requirements are possible. 
App Kits under development:
Artificial drying and Inspection via Vision/AI. 

There are two alternatives: the most recommended one is the use of a lasertracker in combination with markers and/or our own CIS - compensation intelligence software, guarantees maximum precision, reducing human error;
in addition, sensors are used to identify the relative position between the robot and the surface before the start of each processing.

The robot itself moves autonomously via an Autonomous Guided Vehicle (AGV) in case of the larger robot Versions Robosurf Vertigo and Robosurf Horizon.

The Robosurf Wizard has it own autonomous mobile robot plattform (AMR) integrated. 

Absolutely. The total weight is calculated on a capacity load of a traditional Floating Dock. The robot in the largest configuration operates with an accuracy of 0.2 mm up to heights of 17m. 

It is not necessary to use the ship hull or any kind of additional stabilizer to stabilize the system. 
There is no scaffolding needed to perform the operations of the robot either. 

Vibrations are compensated via an anti vibration system. 

It is up to the shipyard/client, which filler or sprayable filler is used. We could use any kind of sprayable filler in general. The only requirement is a connection to our system.

Our system controls the spry gun (or bar in terms of velocity, distance and tool path); the system does not have any interaction with the filler machine. The filler machine is supplied and under responsibility of the paint manufacturer or the supplier of that machine. 

In its largest configuration as ROBOSURF Vertigo the mobile robot has a weight of up to 30 tons and can operate in heights from 2.50m to 17m. ROBOSURF Horizon has a weight of about 20 tons and can operate in heights from 1.50m to 7m.
The ROBOSURF Wizard is a smaller and lighter version for surface finishing and spray applications. The Wizard has weight of about 300kg and can operate in heights from 0m to 3.5 m. 

The robots are built tough to master the requirements of industrial environments in construction, industries or shipyards perfectly. 

Further App Kits and mobile robot solutions for surface finishing and spray applications are being developed in our innovation lab near Pisa. 

The system uses various overspray controllers depending on the use cases so that there is no paint mist that pollutes the environment. 

After the filler is sprayed, it does not need rework afterwards. Also the thickness is controlled via spraying as well as the avoidance of air bubbles. After the filler is hardened, the robot proceeds with the milling.

In case that the shipyard would like to use a traditional filler, our system can apply it by and aluminium bar. For the innovation in the process and usage of the full potential we recommend the use of sprayable filler.

When applying sprayable products there are different ways to prevent overspray. The system is working with different solutions to avoid overspray. Be it via vacuum equipments or air. 

We offer an app kit "blasting/primer" that combines these processes and reduces the formation of rust. The blasting can be carried out wet or dry. The system is installed with vacuum equipments for dust reduction.

There is no additional cleaning required. An increased coating adhesion is achieved.

The user interface have been developed together with end users. They are no-code easy to use interfaces that make Robots like the Robosurf Wizard series ready-to-use. 

Even large installations benefit from our own no-code user-interfaces and are easy to deploay. Addional trainings with our engineers are part of the installation routine. 

Compared to traditional there is nearly no waste in the barrel when using sprayable filler.

The application of sprayable filler causes no waste during the processes as well.
Up to 80% of the sand can be reused.

The grinding process with sandpaper is very material efficient as well with one sandpaper for one position (up to 50sqm).

We draw up a filler map in advance with which the amount of filler can be calculated very exact.

Minor system updates are carried out online. The robots can be updated and monitored via specific secured access channels by our service technicians. The aim is to reduce eventual downtime to a minimum. 

Depending on the Model, hardware updates or expansions are carried out on-site or at our production facility near Pisa. 

Whenever possible we try to compensate for downtimes with replacement devices near to you.
